How to Publish On Kindle Direct Publishing

Updated on December 4, 2011

Quite a few months ago someone from the Hubpages asked how to go about on publishing on Kindle. I was going to make a hub and a video about it but had never got around to it. Well, finally I got around to it and here it is. Kindle has some videos as well on YouTube. The one I made seems simple to me and I hope you find it helpful. Although, I am not making tons of money publishing, and I also don't claim to be a great writer I am now having checks mailed to me. I will continue to try to do this in my spare time. I encourage you to try it too. I know some of the people I follow already have some books published as well.

I haven't been on hubpages very much lately. I've kinda had, I guess what they call writer's block. I also work full time and I wish so much that I could stay home full time, eventually this will be my goal. When I first started on the hubpages you all made me feel so welcome, also I had my faith increased from reading and interacting with you. Some of you encouraged me so much that I thank God for you all.

Anyway, I hope you like the video and keep up the writing. I think it is great to have the opportunity to be able to do it and in the process I am learning many new skills. If you have any questions please let me know.

1. First have your book and cover files created.

2. Create an account at Kindle Direct Publishing.

3. Read all the instructions, terms and agreements.

4. Watch the video to help you in the steps uploading your book.

Hi Sky, I tried putting the link, but it didn't take...the link is at the bottom of my profile...one of the books is called "Lady Cassandra's Love Book, or Learning how to Love in a New way". It is sort of an spiritual/Psychology approach...also addresses depression...and wrong thinking patterns.

Hi Vladimir, anytime I will be glad to help. One thing you could do now is if you go into your internet tools or if you have Google Chrome the little wrench on the top right hand corner either way just click zoom and increase the size of the print on your screen. Maybe try 120 or 144 this will help a lot.

Thanks so much for the great information! I truly never knew Kindle had self-publishing. Now that I know, I can complete a couple of writings and get them published. Yay!!Looks relatively simple to achieve--I wish writing itself were as easy!! Thanks again! Voted up, useful and interesting.

Great information. Do these need ISBN and copyright page? Or does Kindle handle that?
