I Am Hiding- a poem

Oh Lord,

Make me invisible;

I want to face my day but

I don't want to talk to anyone;

They might not like what I have

To Say;

I might look at someone

With a smile, only to be

Greeted with a grimace.

If I at least can

Hold my breath

As I pass these gremlins by.

Oh Lord,

Let me be invisible,

When crossing the city street,

Not knowing the intentions

Of the passers-by,

So I am not a target of any

Senseless crime.

I have no money, no wealth

To steal;

Just a smile and a pleasant

Thought in my mind

As I approach my destination.

If I could climb inside

My mind today,

I will not feel the pain

Of being bullied,

Of being lied to,

Scorned at.

I have no intention

For harm or deceit.

There must be a

The fear that

Was created by

Insults and mockery

Can make me

Want to disappear.

Crawling into that

Hidden space

That secret place,

Where Love and

Light abides,

Helps me

Pick up my head,

Dry my face

And encourage

My Light to shine

My prayers

Have been answered,

And all is forgiven

      This is so sad that there are people in the world who feel this way.

      Voted up. Just wonderfully expressed. Something I think a lot of people go through when they just want the world to go away.

      This is just wonderful! You have managed to put into poetic verse, what so many people are feeling. God bless you in all that you do!

      Like that little girl, we all have to hide once in a while...and even then we can pray for Help...that will come! Beautiful thoughtful poetry. Music of video was also hauntingly lovely.

      Beautifully sad poem Christina-I agree with Faith, that most of have wanted to hide before but being alone in those dark thoughts can make it even worse. Thanks goodness we have God by our side on good or bad days. God Bless :-)

      Hi Christina,

      All is forgiven on the outside but what about the inside?

      I think many of us would like to hide from the bad and negativity in the world but then we would miss out on all that is good.

      Voted up, awesome and sharing.

      Really profound poetry. Yes, I am sure all of us at some point wanted to just got to that hiding place and not been seen by anyone, so that we would be safe to not be hurt by anyone. However, isolation is not good, and we can trust in Him to walk in His light.

      Really loved this one.

      Voted up ++++ and sharing

      God bless. In His Love, Faith Reaper
