I Couldn't Wait Till You Got Home

Updated on January 27, 2016

See The Sun

Out of the sky of blue

It leaves and comes back many times

Each time so powerful and warm

The sun so bright

A marvelous wonder

So many people look at the sun and don't pay attention

It's just there

Taken for granted

Then I hear the car tires run across the gravel driveway

I see my wife behind the steering wheel

Looking out of the car

Not sure what to think or do

I smile

Come quick

Feel the incredible sun

She agrees with me

It's the sun and it looks nice

She holds up her arm

I can't see

It's beautiful

She hears the excitement in my voice

Looks at me stranger than usual

I have groceries from food shopping

I brought home lunch

As we go into our home

I know my wife gets it

She isn't as excited as I am and that 's o.k.

Michael-Milec I love how the sun affects everyone no matter where you are. I am amazed how it looks like you can just reach up in the sky and touch it. Thank you for reading and commenting.

So true, it's a special gift and willingness to see and appreciate the sun - a supporter of our mere existence. Your poetic energy powerful enough to encourage those around you. I think it's great idea to be more appreciative for the sun.

      Have a great week.

I am always ready to do the dance of joy after numerous gray and dreary days when I finally see a blue sky and the glorious sun.
