I Guess I'll Just Live in the Lost and Found

Updated on January 1, 2017

You'll Find My Heart in the Lost-n-Found

First of all, I just have to say to whomever created this picture you are awesome! When I wrote this poem I had this image in my head of what it would be like to aimlessly walk into a lost-n-found, unloved and heartbroken. This is that image.

Lost-n-Found

As tears would fall from my looking eyes,

Every time momentary bliss made me cry.

Another brief romance went wrong,

Another heartache has come along.

As I sit wondering what went so bad,

I wonder about what I could have had.

Was I to blame for these tears of pain?

Had I placed myself in loneliness lane?

Then amongst all these emotions I saw a light,

All of a sudden my heart caught sight,

Of only your wrongs and only my rights,

And of the end of any changes and only my might!

So now I left all my tears behind.

Now it's my heart you will never find.

I've given up on my search for love,

And I can't ask anymore from above.

For my heart is only a numbing soar,

So I'm left unable and unwanting for anymore.

Cause I'm tired of looking around,

So I guess I'll just live in the lost-n-found!

We All Have Had That One REALLY Bad Relationship

Everyone has had one of "THOSE" relationships: you know the one I'm talking about....the relationship that you stay in for WAY TOO LONG....the relationship that is that crazy roller-coaster of emotional turbulence but yet you still convince yourself that you love him/her....that relationship that only winds up ending in a blaze of glory and fire when they break up with you (you always told yourself that YOU would be the one dumping them...so much for that). Then, after the dust has finally settled, you tell yourself that you're just going to become a monk or something and will swear off love forever! Yup...I had one of those relationships...hence this poem. P.S. I never did became a monk, so trust me, there's life after the break-up.

You Love Me, You Love Me Not

What is your favorite love poem of all time?
