I long for you

Served in the U.S. Army, attended and graduated from The University of Texas-Arlington with a bachelors in psychology and minor in sociology

Listen as the wind blows, as it carries away my mind.
From a time when we spoke softly to each other,
To a place where only echoes remind....

Long ago the night was filled with yearning and whispers of longing.
Now the silence is deafening, where the memories are now haunting.

The fire you lit still burns strong and bright.
Will you feed it fuel, and keep it alight?

If so, then I will burn for you like the surface of the sun.
If not then I will let it die and fade away, and let it truly be done.

All it take is one word, one thought to tell me which way.
Will my love stay, or will you throw it away?

All these words express the feelings I have inside,

where my thoughts of you linger, where my desire for you resides.

I long for you…
