I Miss You Every Day

Updated on April 2, 2015

I Miss You Every Day

I miss you every day,

Every single day....

Even although its been a year

And I've shed many a tear,

I still miss you every day.

Snatches of poems have come to me

With snippets of what I would want to write.

Not quite what I would want it to be

As ideas wake me through the night.

You were a most amazing dad

So many precious moments which make me glad.

I was always just called darling,

And I knew you would support me in anything.

So I am glad of the days at the airport pretending to make a call,

Dad and daughter Saturdays' at the snooker hall.

For all the trips we took in the car

To all kind of events both near and far.

Your love for your girls was unconditional,

Your integrity and guidance helped to mould and shape me

You always made yourself to be approachable

And your influence guided me in who I wanted to be.

You will always be in my heart,

My love for you will never depart

There is no simpler way to say,

I still miss you every day,

But I know I will see you in Glory

For this world is not the end of the story.

Great poem. My Dad died suddenly in 1986 and I still think of and miss him every day.
