I Love My Hubpages (Simple Words)

Updated on January 5, 2018

How would you describe Hubpages?

See results

A simple thing to do,

is say that I love you,

most simple words are said,

in private in your head.

Words can mean a lot,

left unsaid forgot,

words can play a part,

when touching someone's heart.

Words tumble in your mind,

as you juggle the nice and unkind,

they echo and ricochet,

jumbled words others might say.

Words can hurt or heal,

lose and win a deal,

stray from your mind,

forgotten left behind.

Words can so impress,

often more mean the less,

phrases entwine like branches,

doubts turn into second chances.

Words just say it all,

doesn't matter big or small,

can turn peace into rages,

you'll see them all on my Hub-pages!

I love this poem. I agree with you, words are so important. They can send love or they can send hate, wo we have to be very careful what we say. Once said, they cannot be taken back. And, tone of voice is very important as well. Do we say words easily and relaxed or through stressful gritted teeth?

I found this poem very relevant, useful and interesting and voted up!

Excellent tribute to words for without them how would us poets converse, they would be caged up in our thoughts, minds, hearts and soul. Forever lingering their begging to come out and be explored by all. I to love my Hub pages where all can come to read, lay down their words for all to enjoy or not.

Yes dear Poet words the breath of life, expression whether hurt, pain, joy or sorrow, words the key to living and dying for us all. Well done, bravo...loved this piece. Voted up and awesome.
