I Remember the Dimes
Grandma's Dimes
I remember the dimes.
When you first passed away,
the first thing you sent me was a dime.
Whenever I have troubles or a family member suffers near,
there are dimes.
dimes in the driveway,
dimes under the table,
dimes in the washer,
it seems they are everywhere.
It seems they just suddenly appear,
when you want me to know you are near.
so when I think of you, and you think of me,
I remember the dimes.
It will be twenty years this year, come September twenty nine, I miss you still today as I did back then. Thank you for the dimes.
