I WISH YOU b. Malin

I wrote this piece a few years back. I would like to dedicate it to this Crazy Winter...And my friends up North... Whom I wish lots of Sunshine to melt the Snow, and a Beautiful early Spring...

Hey Spring, where are you?

I know that you're under that blanket of Snow...

Somewhere nestled deep,

Peacefully Sleeping.

While we walk around,

In a constant state of CHILL.

Most of us have learned to live with the Cold.

But "I" personally DESPISE it!

As one would, their worst enemy.

I envy those people who don't feel the cold...

Their skin has a HEALTHY GLOW.

While mine just gets CHAPPED AND RED,

And gives me the urge to stay in BED.

But just when I think, I've had enough...

That I can't take it anymore,

SPRING comes!

Glorious Spring...A time of rebirth...

And I come to life, once again.

I am reborn!

I have made it through.

The air around me smells so fresh, so new.

I feel Happy, for the first time in months.

I look up at the sky...

That big beautiful sky,

And watch birds of many colors flying by.

AMF, long time no hear, so glad you stopped by, and I couldn't agree with your words more, except ditto for Florida as well! LOL.

Hi 50 Caliber...I have to agree with you, it's wonderful to be out of the cold. Florida has had it's share of "cold spells"...but it beats SNOW...I'm not complaining...So glad you enjoyed my poem.

WillStarr, I love the Seasons too...But when I lived in New England (Conn.) Winter lasted much too long for me...and I was not a WINTER PERSON. Spring is more me! Thanks for your compliment, and for stopping by.

I have been living in a frozen tundra for weeks and more stuff is on the way. It is pretty though.

      Well done!

I love the seasons, but you're right...there's nothing to compare with the melting of the snow-pack and the first green blades of new grass.
