God in my garden

I saw God at work today
my back yard his workplace
I sat reading on a park bench
and met Him face to face

As the birds flew close beside me
chirping with delight
I knew my Father was showing me
a very special sight.

They flew within two feet or three
swooped down to rest a bit
eating from the food we left
upon the shelf where they sit

I've never been so close to them
seemed I could reach out and touch the tiny heads
their lovely bodies made by God
feathers touched with yellows and reds

Yes, I saw God at work today
My back yard his workplace
creating beauty to warm my soul
I felt his presence, and His loving Grace

Puddles of Life

Standing quietly reflecting on the muddy puddle of life

Wondering what lies ahead, happiness or strife

Jumping from the puddle knowing not

what the future holds

trusting in my heavenly father

watching a new life unfold

I was mired down in the puddle,

wondering aimlessly along

Then one day as I waded I heard a wondrous song

“”He touched me” was the message sent from God to me

I was shackled by a heavy burden,

Needing Him to set me free

Then My Heavenly Father said, “My child,

turn from your sinful way

Step from the puddles into the Son Light

I will walk beside you each day”

My life now is filled with a brilliant light

I am surrounded by my Saviors love

My sinful ways have vanished

I am looking toward heaven above

We all need to see how God is at work in the small, everyday events of life for it is then that we will truly find our satisfaction in Him! Enjoyed this immensely!
