I SAT THERE QUIETLY
I sat there quietly~
As the does grazed~
They sauntered~
Where they wished~
In a foggy haze.
I was as silent as possible~
As the two deer ate~
They ambled~
Across the yard~
Never going past the gate.
I moved so gently~
While they munched on last years garden~
They mosied near and than far~
I begged my pardon.
Inaudibly I listened~
To hear their gentle footsteps~
They wandered~
With a whosh and a whisk~
Ready to had lept at the slightest sound amiss.
Peacefully I waited~
For them to finish~
As the two dear strolled~
Amongst the new nights mist~
What an awesome sight to behold I hope you get the gist.
Tranquilly I enjoyed~
The bowing of their heads~
As they gracefully bent~
Nibbling they did at their very best~
By than they already were amply fed.
Amazed I was~
When they pruned the sumac tree~
Than foraging low once again~
Back to browse as the sun had gone~
All the time I thought they might fly at the least of sound.
I sat there quietly~
As the does grazed~
They sauntered~
Where they wished~
In a foggy haze.
