If I Could, I'd Like It To Be Meaningful...

If I could write something meaningful

It might be a love song

Perhaps, only something to say I was wrong

Sometimes things said don’t mean anything

Yet, other times things said, you wish you could undo those few

They had an awful way of saying everything

So, if I could only write something meaningful

Let it be to right that wrong

I never intended to string you along

You probably have felt you don’t mean anything

I take it back, why did you only hear those words?

Does it mean all the good things said, you weren’t listening?

I wish I could write something meaningful

It wouldn’t be a love song

It would definitely be righting some wrong

I’ve been strung along and played one too many a sad song

I’d never hurt another knowingly

I’d say I’m very sorry, I don’t want you feeling lonely

I’m gonna try to write something meaningful

It’s going to be showing you and showing me something beautiful

About peace and harmony

Not taking but giving

Something nice and memorable

Erase away all the terrible
