If I Knew
If I knew that last kiss would be our last kiss,
I'd have kissed you longer.
If I knew that last embrace would be our last embrace,
I'd have held you longer.
If I knew that last look in your eyes would be the last look,
I'd have gazed into them longer.
If I knew that last night would be our last night,
I'd have stretch out every second.
If I had know that my heart would feel this loss,
I'd have still walked with you for that time we had.

This is so beautiful. Everyone can relate themselves to this poem. Simple but mighty powerful. I am lost for words. Hope you produce something like this more in the future.
There was a man in my past that I would have kissed longer, held tighter and I would have taken one last long look.
This is beautiful Mitch, just beautiful. I pray your mom passes through the bitterness of grief into the sweetness of memory quickly. You may see your lost friend again. People change, especially with Jesus as their incentive.
Mitch - My mother was taken from me before I was able to travel across the country to tell her what I needed, one last time, to tell her. It still makes me cry when I have to talk about it.

Now that is quite powerful Mitch, very much so. Parts of it I related to people who have been snatched from my life without warning. It sometimes becomes too late to tell someone that you love them, sometimes you don't get that last kiss and hug and when that has happened to me, I carry that regret with me as I travel down the path of life.
Up, awesome and beautiful. Splendid work.
