If I open up my heart
Will you take the chance
To come in

I’ve turned my back on you
So many times
Living this life of sin

I hear your voice
Loud and clear
Telling me to come home

But I’m scared
It’s just the voices in my head
And I’m all alone



If I open up my heart
Can I trust it
In your hands

I’m scared
Being the sinner I am
I won’t meet your demands.

Even though
You’ve created me
Made me as I am

I can’t help but feel
So empty
An empty shell of a man.



If I open up my heart
Will you fill the void
I feel within

I know I’m a sinner
But I’ve been told
You forgive sin

I’m tired of living
In the darkness
All alone.

Please accept me
I am a sinner
But I want to come home.
