How to Train A Child Up (Poetry)

Child Will Learn Important Values

Can you imagine the greatness you’ll see?

Bring your child up - through the church,

How sweet the results will be

Bring your child up - through the church,

Your work will pay off in the short run

Bring your child up - through the church,

And your love shall nurture like the sun

Bring your child up - through the church,

The trouble you avoid turns to mega love

Bring your child up - through the church,

Appreciation will have a solid hearted cove

Bring your child up - through the church,

Through life avoiding so much pain

Bring your child up - through the church,

Where less likely they will go insane

Bring your child up - through the church,

Where respect is always commanded

Bring your child up - through the church,

Where neglect is reprimanded

Bring your child up - through the church,

Where God is learned as Almighty Father

Bring your child up - through the church,

The focus won’t allow Satan to bother

Bring your child up - through the church,

Where the spirit is a fresh and guiding light

Bring your child up - through the church,

Where the child will learn true wrong from right

Bring your child up - through the church,

Before Satan gets ahold on your child

Bring your child up - through the church,

Satan can't turn him or her to wild

Bring your child up - through the church

Don’t let the streets ruin someone good

Bring your child up - through the church,

Bring your child up the way that you should

Bring your child up - through the church,

That is what the Bible says

Bring your child up - through the church,

It teaches your child the spiritual ways

Bring your child up - through the church,

Don’t let the world lead your child to doom

Bring your child up - through the church,

Don’t let your child experience a lot of gloom

Bring your child up - through the church,

At least your child will have a fair opportunity

Bring your child up - through the church,

Your child will be strong in the community

Bring your child up through the church,

Your child is someone special

Your child deserves a chance

Your child will learn to hustle

A spiritual walk, run and dance,

Your child can be all that's needed to be

Through the teaching of the church,

If you've been there then you know like me

It's the haven where Satan seldom lurks.

.

Ephesians 6: 4

And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

Proverbs 2

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

The Perfect Way

Two parents can make it work easier than one. A child needs both parents to be his or her parents as well. There needs to be the love of Jesus Christ within. In the short and long run you want the best for your child. You must not give a child everything wanted but the child should earn the things wanted especially as he or she gets older.Otherwise, a child will grow up taking things for granted and that can hurt the child in the long run. Get my drift?

Praise the Lord for your outcome Dana, you can lead someone to church but can't make them retain and apply the message of the Word. Parents owe it to the children to at least introduce them to the church, God and Christ. A child can decide to stay with it or rebel against it. It is a choice that we'll always have. Thank you for your response.

I had a relative who brought her child up in the church and when she reached a certain age she started to rebel. But I told her you brought her up in the church the same way we were all brought up in the church and we went our own way. But just like us and in the case of " The prodigal son" we were already instilled with the morals and values of God, so when we lost our way we knew who to call. The bible says Train your children in the ways of the Lord and when they are old it will not depart from them.

Hello MsDora, your response here is greatly appreciated and on point. Saving the children is the focus in a church. God will see to that if the parents just get them there. The parent can be amazingly saved as well by attending with them.*

In a church where the focus is on saving the children, they can receive a solid foundation in preparation for life. Evil is everywhere, but children have a better chance of overcoming evil influences if they are supported by a spiritual community. Raising them in the church is a great message for the parents' consideration.

The generations of truly knowing God are slipping away. Lets push for a revival of the Holy Spirit in Christians' lives!!
