If You Only Knew The Real Me

A man of burning desire

That will not stop until he finds what he is looking for

I can not buy it but I know it is everywhere I look

I read about it in many books

The feeling runs deep in my veins like a root from a tree

As the days go by my roots grow thicker and stronger

I feel confident that I am on the right track

I don't know if life gets in the way or I get in the way of life

Either way I will persist

I find fault in no one and love the joys that spring

From up and under where only dirt now lays

I try to write about it every chance I get

I can talk about my energy that constantly is spilling over

I love the way my life has been so far

What tomorrow will bring I am only hopeful and curious

But today I live it with every breath that fills my lungs

I share it with all those who want to live in peace and harmony

So this is one attempt of many to get my point across millions of miles

Thank god I didn't have to walk them or I would be soaking my aching feet

In epson salt or warm water in a bucket

Until my feet turn pruney and grey

This is the search I will continue

For all my live long days
