Love love, but never loved

Updated on October 6, 2011

I don't know love

Who has ever loved? Well, I have not but I am in Love with the idea of love. I'm one of those people who reads those old romance novels, you know the ones with the cover that has this muscular man kissing a woman's neck or something like that and her you know whats are nearly spilling out of her dress-Yep that kind! Lol-And I love romantic movies you know the ones that make you cry and laugh and smile and cry some more, lol! I love the thought that someone can find their one and only true love and can be with that person for the rest of their lives.

Love, love but has never loved

Here one sits with a longing, a longing for the blessing most never receive.

How can one want something so badly when they’ve never had it?

How can one feel empty without something they’ve never been filled with?

How can one be in love with a feeling they’ve never felt?

How can one’s heart beat for someone they’ve never met?

How can one live for a love that my never be found?

How can, I, me, live with a love that runs deeper than the ocean just waiting to be shared but no one to share it with?

I guess...all one can do is hope for that everlasting treasure and hope that they find that X that marks the spot over what will bring them happiness. I for one will never stop hoping…

Longing for a feeling

What is it like to have a kiss mean so much more than just a kiss?

What is it like to have someone’s arms wrapped around you knowing that its more than just a hug?

What is it like to have someone smile at you and its meaning is more than just a friendly gesture?

What does it mean to hold someone’s love in your heart?

How does it feel?

Is it magical if only for a second?

Is it intoxicating if only for a moment?

Is it beautiful if only for a short breath in time?

I want, almost need to know what it feels like, if only for a second…a moment…a short breath in time...I want it to be mine.

      I love this....

      You have pierced my soul

      with the words you write

To seek a love that is so right

If I could sweep you up

      and take you away

I would make love to you

      every single day

      I would make you smile

      day and night

      and give you love

      with all my might

I have heard it said, chocolate is a good substitute for love or was that the other word? lol! Well, I have given love which has not always been returned, so I can relate to the longing of which you speak. But it was beautifully written with a gentle soul. Love is beautiful if it is shared, no matter how long it may last. It feels that good! : )

Beautifully written. Very heartfelt though it made me sad a bit. The longing feeling..I hope even just a cup of ice cream sundae could brighten up your day. :)

Thank you for reading and for the insight and no we shouldn't stop loving even if we don't know how it will end.

The truth is that only few, if any, fall in love with the intention that it ends someday. That is love is always thought to last and that is why people go into it. It seems it does not always turn out so good as expected. It now seems that because people know love does not always so they play it like a game. That is they go in just for a fun that last for a while. Maybe that is why divorce is easily seen in marriages. Lovers easily lose trust and break up. Do we stop loving because we don't know how it ends
