In Honor of the Moon (A Series of Unrelated Poems using Moon as the Theme)
hoping for heaven
I climb to the supermoon
leaving you behind
morning breaks with light
the sun competes with the moon
#supermoon magic
i sit on the edge
newly risen #supermoon
feeling strange relief
and just how could she
beg the moon for forgiveness
when she turned away
catching a moonbeam
feeling exhilaration
in light I am free
moon, depend on me
to look up to you, shine bright
eyes keep you survived
it is the moon
remembering the sunlight
growing midnight blooms
the night poet writes
packing pages with the moon
snubbing the next sun
in the clandestine midnight garden
under the moonlight
travels a lone lady bug
through flowers and
grass and rocks
through trees and
under leaves
to get inside your preserved heart
