In My Dreams: A Poem

Updated on April 28, 2014
Source

Can you hear the silent murmurings of my heart,

That keep in time the rhythm of my dreams,

As I inhale the beauty of this world,

And exhale the fantasies of my creation?

Drowning out doubt, I hold onto faith,

An anchor through the storms of negativity,

A light peeking through the darkness,

A silver lining in a rainstorm cloud,

Like flowers blooming from a hardened earth,

Hope is a buoy for my troubled soul,

Keeping me afloat through waves of fury,

And peaceful throughout clustered clouds of calamity.

      Wonderful words and voted up.

A beautiful poem, the murmuring of the heart that mirrors the murmuring of the sea that can rise up in sudden fury and then grow calm again.
