Mind's Eye

Updated on January 17, 2012
Source

In my mind's eye

I see the sun, the moon, and the stars

New beginnings merging from afar

Circling around enveloping life

Paradise to be known combined

Everything is changing

Time spins faster

A streaming ball of fire

A million years away

Colliding among centuries

At our own dismay

Some lives broken

Some reawakened

Being born again in a new way

In life's cycle

Some will fall

Some reemerge again

Everything will come full circle

In this new beginning

Stessily thank you very much for your constant support. Isn't it funny how everything in life comes in cycles?

Caroline, There is such a sense of presence in this poem, which is on one of my favorite subjects: cycles of time. "Colliding among centuries" expresses perfectly the cylical and spiralling journey of all life across the universe. This is one of my all-time favorites of your poems for the mystical atmosphere which is established effectively, palpably, powerfully.

I like this Caroline. The idea of reemerging again after death is a belief of many. I like the thought of a new begining..I believe in Karma..Thank you for sharing your beautiful poetry...

carolinemd21 it is a fact that we go through cycles. Same feelings, same dealings, and then seem to begin again. Excellent work. 'Colliding among centuries' is a really good line.
