In The Presence of my Beloved, I Dined With Joy: Dedicated to Chitrangada Sharan, by Manatita
To:- ChitrangadaSharan, for her inner beauty, sweetness, charisma and Light ...
She looked at me invitingly; with an alluring smile,
And my Soul blushed in Silence.
Long had I sought Her,
Amidst a life of drudgery and broken dreams.
But now this captivating glance of Her effulgence,
Caressed my heart in a glow of overwhelming joy.
Pining for eons by the lure of much distraction;
Ceaselessly obtaining thorns instead of roses,
I once drifted helplessly from place to place.
Resting finally in the great fullness of Her grandeur,
I feel blessed, bewitched by the splendour of my experience.
Her voice was intimate, cradling my Silence,
Life a soft stream of flowing current,
Enhancing the richness of my rhapsody.
How I yearned to tell Her of my Sojourn!
All those meaningless persuasions;
False hopes in searching for my bounty.
Now that I have found Her,
This Heart becomes astounded,
And my tongue remains mute.
Unable to express the rapture from within,
I embody the weakness of quivering lips.
As we embraced,
A flood of unspoken moments entered my Being.
I felt hallowed, a lone guest at the dining table of Her Majesty.
Drunk deep with celestial wine,
Lips still wet from the sweetness of Her Chalice,
I spoke in silent eloquence,
To the golden curls of Her delight.
She stood unmoving, an enchanting glint in Her soulful eyes,
Unveiling inner mysteries,
In the radiance ofHer sanctum.
As She reached out to garland me,
The sweet pull of our energies collided;
An array of luminous beacons,
Now in possession of my conquered heart.
And so with a sweet and sacred salutation to Her presence,
I paid homage with a valley of welcomed tears,
And dined with matchless Joy.
Sweet Parvati, Goddess of Love,
I'm an enthralled lover, wooing in trance;
Receiving cascades of perfumed roses,
In the midst of shimmering Light.
Pilot my life-boat with a paramour's skills,
To find my way home.
