In the Quiet of the Night

Updated on May 2, 2012

In the quiet of the night
The owls silently on watch
Only whispers of the stars can be heard
And the moon reminds us
That the sun still shines.

Angels appear without summons
Whilst you repose,
And they leave behind a dream
Of love and hope
Flowing through your being
From head to toe,
Like a slow steady stream
Awakening your soul,
Making you whole
By giving you a place
Where you can belong,
That you may call your own,
That only you can fill,
That you alone can steer
Life’s destiny here,
Using all of your will,
Avoiding all that is fake
For your integrity’s sake,
Keeping a sense of thrill
On your journey through life,
Avoiding strife,
Embracing the good
As all who love life should.

Look deeply at your reflection,
Believe that you could
With the courage of a Knight
And his God given right,
Have love and hope,
Just as it seems
In your dreams,
In the quiet of the night.

Maria, saw your name and it is so beautiful i had to see why the lord has directed here and look at the treasure i have found. Wow, your poetry is exqusite. you are beautiful and the words you use flow so softly, like a gentle breeze that sounds like music to the ears. " Hey Mr Tamborine man , play a song for me, in that jingle jangle motion , i'll come following you" .

Ahh.. dylan, he is a poet of the first degree.

"Take me on a journey upon your magic swirling ship , my senses have been tripped." thank you for taking me back to a wonderful time and place.

      Love ya,

      Michael

      No hooting of owls

      no chipping of crickets

      but

      in the late night

      I can so much feel

      the power of your words.
