Inspiration 3rd Word in the "Good Word" Project - Inspired by Hubpage Authors - a Tribute to My Hubber Friends

Updated on June 14, 2020

Inspiration:

This is the third word in the Good Words Project, as Grace Goldsmith seeks to inspire our fellow Hubbers to be the best writers we can be. When Jo "Grace" Goldsmith first told me about the good words project I promised to write a poem for each of the words she gave us.

Inspired by HubPage Authors

By Shyron Shenko

When I think and think and come up dry

My HubPage friends encourage me to try and try

To write another verse, another line

And give my writing some more time

They said it does not matter what you write

A poem, a rhyme, it will be alright

When someone reads your written word

So write a poem tonight

When you can write sweet words of love

And write them all in rhyme

You could write a poem almost anytime

With words that fit just like a glove

So..I write this tribute to my HubPage friends

For all your pearls of wisdom

On a string that has no ends

That is how my HubPage circle of friends begins

When I think and think and come up dry

My HubPage friends encourage me to try and try

To write another verse, another line

And give my writing some more time

I like to watch America's Got Talent or X-Factor reruns, and programs of that sort sometimes. I watch them on my Smart phone, since I don't have, and don't care to have, a TV.

Today I saw a young woman whose had the worst of luck lately. First diagnosed with cancer and given 3-6 months to live, then dumped/divorced by her husband.

She had a written her own song and sung it with a beautiful voice, about 'It Doesn't Matter." She is determined to live her life as fully as possible with what is left of it and to make the best of it. She received the Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowl.

At the end she said she just wanted to say one more thing -- "Never wait until all the difficulties and hardships are over to be happy." Good advice, if you think about it.

I found her very inspiring and wise, which is why I mention her here.

Blessings, dear friend. Take care . . .

Au fait, thank you for the comment and sharing. You are so right about the people running this site.

It is 104 at this very moment and the air is not stirring at all, maybe it is the calm before the storm.

I know the Trumpster caved to the demands that he worship the tea bagger Gods.

      Blessings and hugs.

This awful eat certainly isn't inspiring, nor is my basement level hubber score. I don't think the people who run this site have any knowledge whatever of psychology, but that hubber score has a profoundly negative affect subconsciously, if not consciously. Shared, of course.

To be 100 Sat., and Sun. Hope you are caught up with your outside chores so you can stay In where it's cool. Did you see, the Trumpster signed the Republican agreement not to run an Independent ticket? It's not legally binding, so he could change his mind.

      Blessings and hugs . . . take care . .

Al (word55), I don't know when hubby and I will be back to visit. Maybe when hubby feels more like traveling. He will not fly and I don't like to fly either. We have our sons there, but most of the other relatives are gone, died or moved away.

Hi Al (word55), I thought you are a friend? Being friends with Au fait is not the only thing we have in common, I use to live on Hirsch Street and Killdare Ave. in Chicago, which is a beautiful city.

I am glad you enjoy my writing and this hub/poem.

Au fait and I have been friends for about 10 years now, she is the one who got me signed up on HP.

      Blessings to you also.

Au fait, thank you for the up votes, fb post and sharing with our followers. And I am glad you appreciated the photos, they were taken just as we got home for the hospital yesterday.

Heat and ice cream, I think it is the poison (sugar) in ice cream (just my opinion) it gets people wired/wound up.

The heat, you do not have to shovel the heat, but thank God for the person(s) who invented the air conditioner.

Blessings and hugs to you my dear friend.

Came by to get a little inspiration. The heat kills my inspirations and ambitions, and all I can think about is a walk-in freezer. Maybe I should write an essay on that . . . ;)

Excessive heat, not ice cream, has been found to be the cause of unrest in some communities. Scientists knew there was a correlation between violence and ice cream. They searched the ingredient list to see why there was a considerably more violence in the summer as well as tons more ice cream being eaten. Turned out people ate more ice cream in an attempt to cool off and that people who had no means to get out of the awful heat tended to be grumpy and out of sorts, sometimes losing control of their anger, etc. So the answer to lowering the violence factor was to provide relief from the excessive heat.

Voted up/awesome/BUI, posting on FB, and sharing with followers.

Hope all is well with you and that John is feeling good today. Really appreciate the photos. You both look gorgeous in them! TTYL.

Shyron, it is easy to be supportive of a Hubber who is as kind and supportive as you are. The community spirit of HP allows us to encourage each other, and we all need some encouragement now and then. There are times I think I will never be able to write another word, when I read something on this site that nudges me to try. Don't ever stop writing....Jaye

Dane, don't sell yourself short. There may be a poet inside of you and you don't know it.

My mother wrote poetry and one day, I will put them all in a book. but all of her's were not the best, but that was made up for everything when she wrote the best. One of her best I wrote on HP called "The Dragon Tattoo" writen way before the movie by the same name.

Thank you for stopping by again.
