Invitation to Love. Monday's Inspiration 56, a Dedication to Lorna Lamon
Inspired Thoughts
Namaste! Good morning friends and welcome to another Monday's awakening virgin dawn-- a new day and a new promise. The twirling moon is blessing and guiding us, into the luminosity of daybreak and all is good. Let our Hearts speak, our hands serve and the eloquence of our voice sing only of inspired thoughts.
As we fail - and we will fail - let us pick ourselves up joyfully, like snowflakes, renewing our aspirations to Love and service. God speed!
Wisdom from the Master
Invitation, 2. A Sonnet-styled rhyming poem
Come Into my Heart, O Beloved, come!
Stars kiss in secret; while moonlight unfolds.
Love ascends to the Emperors Kingdom,
Heralding calm, in the depths of my soul.
Come into my Heart, O Beloved, come!
Spring fast approaches; mulberries rejoice.
Lavenders fragrant; alluring to some,
While blue-bells blush; zephyrs whisper Thy voice.
Red-breast, canaries and blue-birds converse,
Wooing my Spirit, with laughter and tone.
Rose leaves of autumn, recycled to dust;
The white snow mimics, Your grandeur alone.
Explosions of rays, from heaven pervades,
No more the penury of darkness-night.
Angels and cherubims, sing from the glades,
Cascading their aura of golden Light.
Come into my Heart, O Beloved, come!
The doors of this tavern are wide open.
Emptiness dances, soon to become,
Your firefly-lustre and soaring wren.

Wisdom from the Master
Citizen of Silence
My village, Hermitage, taught me the spirit
Of camaraderie, simplicity, innocence … hospitality.
My mother taught me the spirit of dauntless sacrifice,
Of self-giving, cheerfulness and fortitude.
My Grenada taught me the spirit of fun, gaiety … beauty.
My England enhanced my spirit of character,
Nobility, large-heartedness and speed.
My African ancestry, gave me the colours of richness;
Of patience in adversity. My America taught me the
Spirit of movement; of constant flow.
My Philosopher-friend Socrates, taught me to be
A Citizen of Silence, the eloquent expression of the Unspoken.
I am no more a citizen of any country, for
My Heart is a Citizen of boundless Silence.
In Silence lies the feeling, of Love’s universal oneness;
In Silence lies the peerless Bliss of the Beyond;
Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. 27th September, 2019.

Your dedication to Lorna is beautiful. You both write excellent and thought-provoking poetry.
She's my wife. I am from Bulacan, Philippines.
I liked all those poems Manatita Ji!
Lorna is an extraordinary poet, love all of her poetry.
Blessings my friend!
Two sonnets are too beautiful to read. Thanks for sharing.
This is beautiful. It reminds me that everything happens for a reason and there are many life lessons to be learned through all of it. Sending you my wishes for a wonderful and richly blessed day.
I enjoyed it, Manatita, it has been a while since I've been here, internet problems, and you had not been seen by me for a while so welcome back.
Hi manatita44 you write from within and shared a beautiful poem. Words a mean a lot when from the heart as you write this poem with a clear mind.
I love both of these poems, Manatita. The nature imagery in the first one is beautiful and the second one is a lovely description of influences in life.
Everything you write speaks of beauty within. Your thoughts\words are something to hold close to one's heart.
These are great. I think, the first is so romantic and the second so patriotic; as a whole the poems are so passionate! A joy as always.
Citizen of Silence is a treasure among many others. It's personal to you, but still appealing to many who can relate to at least some of the references. The creatures of nature mentioned in the first poem takes me into a pleasant outdoors. Beautiful dedication!
"Let our Hearts speak, our hands serve and the eloquence of our voice sing only of inspired thoughts." I just love this and think of this each day. Also, "...citizen of boundless silence"
Oh, manatita, such beautiful words to touch the very heart of the soul.
"My Philosopher-friend Socrates, taught me to be
A Citizen of Silence, the eloquent expression of the Unspoken.
I am no more a citizen of any country, for
My Heart is a Citizen of boundless Silence.
In Silence lies the feeling, of Love’s universal oneness;
In Silence lies the peerless Bliss of the Beyond;"
I am deeply humbled as I feel your wisdom, so at home, found in every word you write.
Your Philosopher and friend is Socrates. Mine is Leonardo da Vinci.
The video is lovely, springing forth for a few seconds, a glimpse into my higher power.
Thank you,
Namaste
Thank you friend. We are blessed.
A beautiful tribute to Lorna. She's a wonderful writer and so deserving of this recognition.
I do not know this person, but if she is a friend of yours she is a friend of mine. Beautiful as always!
I was so touched by the beauty of these gentle poems Manatita and humbled by your kind dedication. Thank you for making my day so special.
