Is It Any Wonder?

Updated on November 29, 2013

Is It Any Wonder?

My Friend,

We began as girls

Sharing more together

than we even had to begin.

We traveled as women

passed wormholes of time

and sprinted through our lives.

We crossed and surpassed each other.

Doubled back and came around again

We loved the same.

Hated the most common enemies.

Laughed our way through ditches

And shoved each other up mountains

Same life

Same fate

I walked inside

and wanted your life.

You lent me pieces of it

for my own stained glass mosaic

Borrowed love

to crazy glue my life together

Do you now wonder why I love him?

Why I can't live without him?

Must live without him

Choose everyday not to take him

For you

For each of us

To be saved

"My Immortal"

Thank you Frank! That means so much even after your other comments! We all experience times when we seem stalled in our "process". So, it is so encouraging that you think this well done! Blessings to you!

      Kim,

Thank you so much! Whenever I read your comments, you so often pick my favorite lines! I have been away for a while, life preventing me from really "finishing" anything that I deemed worth posting....so I mostly appreciate the encouragement and kind words! I am glad you enjoyed and thanks for reading as always!

It's good to 'see' you back writing again Theater girl! Hope you are well. Your new piece has a seemingly very personal nature, composing a bitter-sweet symphony of the soul.

      Best Wishes,

      R.Q.

What a lovely picture you paint! I can see the girls walking through life together but what a melancholy end. Loved it. :)
