It Just Might Come True

Wishing On Stars

Wishing on stars doesn’t always make it so

As everyone does already know,

But wishing on stars never hurts to do

You never know; it just might come true.

But praying prayers never hurts to do

You never know; it just might come true.

But hoping hard never hurts to do

You never know; it just might come true.

Whispering Wishes

Talking To God

So what’s the point of praying

Or whispering wishes or saying?

Because no matter Who you are talking to

You never know; it just might come true.

The End

@billybuc -- Hello Bill. Truly, we'll never will know unless we put it out there for God, the Universe and Everyone. "Whatever we put out, comes back to us" - is a line I read somewhere but it escapes me right now.

We are packing up to go to my twin sister's house for the next few days, meeting our other six sisters (and their families) there for a family celebration. Although we were all together at our Memorial Day Summer Kickoff, we haven't all been together for a family Christmas in four years. It promises to be .....noisy! I have one more hub to file before we leave. Thank you for your comment and Happy Holidays to you and Bev.

@wenosedogs -- thank you for your comment. It was one of those poems that rolls off your fingers while typing and wrote itself in less than 6 minutes. lol Happy Holidays to you and your family. :)

@Jodah - You Never Know - the title I originally chose for this hub - was taken and, several tries at a title which HubPages disallowed, I opted for It Just Might Come True. I was afraid the title would bury the poem into obscurity and I'm heartened to see a few comments on it this morning. Reading it over in the light of day, so many things can be applied to the wording of this poem....as you said in your comment about global warming Thank you for your visit and vote, Jodah. Happy Holidays.

I love this poem Mary. Talking about climate change doesn't always make it so, As everyone does already know, but looking after the planet never hurts to do, you never know it just might come true. Voted up.
