Inspirational Poetry: It Was always Meant to Be

I’m determined to make it happen

This elusive thing people like to call success

I’m willing to sink everything I have into it

I will not settle for second best

Life is hardship

But my efforts won’t be in vain

For every drop of blood and sorrow spilled

Fortune will come down like rain

The people who doubted

Will begin to believe

The people who believed

Great gifts they’ll receive

I’ll fulfill every broken promise

And pay back all unsettled debts

Lift my head up from sorrow

And cast away all regrets

Every step I take

Will bring me to this day

And when people ask how I did it

It was always meant to be

Is what I’ll say
