Journey of Life Part 1 of 3

When I was young, my life was full and bliss

So simple, so naive, so innocent

Everyday was full of wonders

Petty things to do and play

I fight on insignificant matters

Like who is fat, and who is thin, and who had the weirdest names

Of pets and dogs and cats and plants

I play with them all day

Sheltered then by my parents sake

I forsake most responsibilities

They fed me when I ask for food and gave me love and care

They even went to such extreme just so I can have some treats

They hope for me to grow and glow, to shine above all kids

To be the star, the one above

The brightest of them all

I run and play and meet others like me, and play with them some more

I thought of games, and joys and cheers

And things that would make me laugh

No worries, no responsibilities, and the way a child should be

Follow the right and avoid the wrong

That was the only rule

I was taught to know

To weigh and grow

To distinguish what is good or bad

The virtues of just and the honour of fair

My guardian imprints the wisdom of life

Mysterious are the things forbidden

The lure of things that is wicked

Experiments I did with things not good

Behind closed doors, behind their backs

And discover what I should not

Slowly and patiently, I gained the experience

The lures and pitfalls of life

The things that are good

The things that are evil

And the things that are black or white

My conscience decided on what i should do

The future I want is rooted on trust

The basic foundation, the guidelines of home

For father provide and mother takes care of home

For the glory of god who is good and right

I shall pattern myself and life
