All parents want their children to model good character. And the best way to do that is to encourage children to want to be just like our ultimate role model―Jesus!ust Like Jesus Bible Storybook is a collection of stories that will inspire kids to take on the character of Jesus. Each story highlights a lesson that Jesus taught―lessons like giving thanks, treating everyone equally, sharing with others, being patient, being generous, and more.
— Stephen ElkinsEach lesson features a “Jesus in the Bible” story that shows Jesus’ character and how He acted in particular situations. Flip the page, and children will find a section called “Jesus in Me” that will inspire them to model Jesus’s behavior, conform to His character, and want to be just like Him! Each lesson ends with a short prayer through which children can ask God to help them develop the character of Jesus.

Review
As I wrote at the top of this hub: " To comply with new regulations introduced by the Federal Trade Commission,I must mention as part of every Web or Amazon review that Tyndale House Publishers has provided me with a complimentary copy of this book or ARC. As a after school counselor I always enjoying reading and reviewing new children's books. So I was excited to be able to give Just Like Jesus Bible Storybook (Wonder Kids) by Stephen Elkins a try. Right off the bad I liked the fact that Just Like Jesus Bible Storybook (Wonder Kids) by Stephen Elkins was a padded book the book has the feel of a hardcover book except that it is softer to the touch. The first page has a this book is presented to:____ Date:____ On the Special occasion of:_____ section. Next is a title page followed by a table of contents page. Just Like Jesus Bible Storybook (Wonder Kids) by Stephen Elkins is 171 pages long and has 42 chapters/sections. Each chapter/section is a different story whit a Jesus was dependent, thankful, responsible, ... title.
After a not to parents/grandparents page the book truly begins. Each section is about four pages long. The pages are:
- Jesus was...
- Jesus in the Bible
- Jesus in Me
- Prayer for Today
The Jesus was page talks about a piece of the bible in a simple quote format. For instance one is about when Jesus broke the bread and fish into enough pieces to give them to all his people and then offered thanks. The Jesus in the Bible section relates the story to something children could understand for instance this section to fast food. It talks about how the bread became enough to feed everyone and how it was a miracle, the fast food comment is just to draw in interest. Then the Jesus in Me relates to the child's life for instance how Mom and Dad tell the child to give thanks. Lastly the Prayer for today is a simple prayer that all children can understand this one reads "Lord, teach me to be thankful for all that You have done for me.
Overall the book is written is simple and easy to understand language that would be good for young children. The lessons are simplified for easy understanding from young children, and the cartoon style illustrations help to draw interest.
