Just fool’s golden inlay

Updated on July 29, 2015

Glimmer from the cover

Source

The lies

Sacrament

A mysterious book

Made my monsters

To keep those not wanted

Far enough away

Glimmer from the cover

Just fool’s golden inlay

Secrets kept

For only the monsters’ ears to hear

A grand scheme

In the making for thousands of years

Monsters of every make

Monsters of every kind

To take over the world

One saint at a time

With lies and deceit

They have created a world

Where only the monstrous of monsters

Have access to The Word

A Word not spoken

Out loud for fear

Saints will hear them

For the monsters are near

Monsters in disguise

Not quite normal

Not quite right

Yet yielding power

In your darkest night

Smiling to your face

Flashing pearly whites

Thinking that the saints

Can’t see their crooked smiles

Shaking your hand

Manicured and smooth

Covering up the callous practices

Misconfiguring all that is true

In a nowhere lobby

Sits part sinner part saint

Glad she’s not a monster

Awaiting her fate

The monsters

Her fate they will decide

They hold the book

The sacrament

The lies

      Wow! A monumental effort, Kim!

Great bitterness, great sorrow, and great longing.

Great thoughts about the curse of not belonging.

The ones who could, but did not tell the truth

receive in their deceit their just reward,

but to condemn them is to play their game,

and we determine not to be the same.

The universe is still alive when they are not,

and we can choose to stay away from filth and rot.

Pain opens up our hearts to truer angel voices

that guide us into more judicious choices.

Our angels teach us laughter amidst tears,

and show us how to overcome our fears.

No monstrous lie can overcome the sanity

of those who truly care about humanity.

Each word of bitter pain and protest beckons us

to realize solution of this problem lies in us.

This American sonnet written on Monday, May 13, 2013 to ocfireflies (Kim of North Carolina) and all her known and unknown comrades who also chafe at the flagrant dishonesties we daily see masquerading as truth. Best wishes to you all,

      Max

      Max,

You have the pulse of the planet at your beckoning call

How you respond with such vigor and might

tells me you have seen the wrongs

      and like saints everywhere

      tried to make them right

      Best Always,

      Kim

      Dear Kim, first-rate:

      now you are great,

      so don't be late

      or hesitate

      to meet your fate

      to calibrate

      the unfair freight

      at heaven's gate

      and make things straight

      as you create

      and elevate

      new magistrate

      to legislate,

      emancipate,

      and liberate.

      So Max doth state.

      Dear Max,

      thou art the greatest kind

      now you hear me

      like no other

      from one small sister

      to one tall brother

      angels high above

      angels down below

      helping us help those

      whose hearts are carrying

      the heaviest of loads

      Best Always,

      Kim
