Oh Lord my God have mercy on me

The night it comes and darkness I see

Kyrios, Christos, Savior and Lord

Kyrie Eleison by your Word

The pain it overwhelms again

The bed it holds again and again

The circles grow darker around her eyes

Kyrie Eleison, Lord I cry

I know the spirit will one day rise

There will be an end to anguished cries

I try not to surrender to despair

Kyrie Eleison hear my prayer

The sadness comes on like the night

I'm left without the strength to fight

She lies awake and then asleep

Kyrie Eleison her soul to keep

And when there are no more words

Did I do all I could for her

I do not want to say good-bye

Kyrie Eleison hear my cry

Thank you very much. It was a little painful to write.

      This was poignantly beautiful.
