LOVE LETTERS - DIANA KRALL
We'll fly
Through the sky
Become
The one
We are.
Winged stallion,
Swift gazelle,
Without a net.
We'll spin
Crystal webs
For caterpillars.
We'll find
The star we owned
From when we first
Began.

Each moment
With you
Surpasses
Its predecessor,
My beloved.
Even if
Everything else
Were right,
Without you,
What is it?
Now and always,
Dreary days
Are
Left behind
For good.

When you come into
My door,
You fill my room
With moonlight,
With magic
Music
And merry mystery.

This full response
Unsought,
Accepted
Is in and of itself, alone -
Not part
Of something else.
Had you not occurred, arisen,
There could have been no substitute
And missing it
Would still remain
This wholly private ache
And so I'm scared,
I'm unprepared
For further definition
In the larger realm.

Soul Mates
There will be
No new encounters
For us.
For if we chance
To meet again,
We'll touch,
And then -
Our hearts will beat again,
As souls repeat again
Our recognition.
Time will cease,
As universe
Becomes
Complete, -
Again.______© Nellieanna H. Hay
A tribute - to 1945 film, "Love Letters"
I was a young teenager when I saw this film, but, even so, it impressed itself on me. What I've only just learned as I researched the movie today is that the screenplay was written by none other than Ayn Rand! Of course the cast members, with Jennifer Jones, at her ethereal best, and Joseph Cotton,as the writer of the letters for a friend, in the mode of Cyrano de Bergerac, were magnificent. This film belongs in the classic film realm with "Casablanca", in my opinion.
