Here I sit
Thoughts dwell on you.
I don't know what is to come of us.
Your smile,
Your touch,
And the way you light up a room,
Like a spotlight.
I could never put into words
How I truly feel.
It’s as if I created you in my mind
As some kind of unreachable ideal.
Not an hour goes by
Without the thought of you.
Maybe someday I will be able
To express myself correctly
For now I just stumble along,
Hoping,
Loving,
And caring about you.
I want to be the source of your happiness.
Not a detour through sadness.
