Leaving Las Vegas: the Adventure Begins
The Neon lights
Have lit the night skies Of my life for so long The blazing hot atmosphere Has melted me into The ever living woodwork Of this restless desert city The time has arrived I can't stand to be here Any longer The sounds of buzzing slots And hissing drunks Will be left behind Here in this undead circus Taking my time, To observe what ill miss The excitement reigns in me Raise the anchor It's time to set sight On a new destination
One last drink
A shot or two The last dollar ill gamble, And I'm thinking of you One last walk Down the street of Fremont 8 am Much earlier, Than I've ever been down here I watched the sun rise Above the steel canopy All of the Vampires Crawled back into their cracks In the walls I'm alone Walking tall A cold beer And some time for thinking
The Time Is Now
I knew I'd find myself Again Somehow Keys in the ignition Exhaust bellows down The Vegas streets Its time to head north To the rain And green earth Far away From this goddamn Desert
