Left To Mourn

Updated on May 16, 2017

At the heart of things Is love

At the heart of things, that which matters is love

By blood we are related

By that common thread, we are bound

Not Man nor death can asunder that which is bond .

I look towards the heavens and wonder why

Doth death steal that which is good

And leave loved ones to cry

I'm told 'tis the way of things

And the Almighty knows all things

For the ones who suffer in silent grief

The Family that death does rob of time

The Children that you bade come

And wiped their face and tear stained cheek

To the Wife who beheld you at your finest and

That stood beside you through all that may

The brothers and Sister you left to cry

The Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins

The ones you knew and the ones of slight acquaintance

The good Friends you made along the way

In our hearts and our memories

No Man nor Death can put asunder

The precious memories that having you in our life have created

At the heart of things

We are Family united and all that matters is love

Our Family ties were established late in Life prior to my immigration to the U.S.A. But your presence is felt all around. He surrounded me with all the love he could manage from simple messages on Facebook and still even now in spirit. Heaven's for clarification in old English means sky.
