Let the Clouds Kiss me

They say savor words, taste the extract,

And drink nectar in the chalice of life,

Every day then will be a Eden on Earth !

Each moment replete with eternal joy !

I try to comprehend all these sayings,

And all the sages say word is immortal,

Word can liberate, take one to the summit,

It can also take one to the deep abyss.

Word clasps the mind, word sways it,

The world then turns as bad or good,

And word makes a guy friend or foe,

Word tells one how to move on in life.

In the sky above, smiles the moon,

How we converse without any words !

Let me ride on the back of moments,

And dance on the floor of existence !

The green grass, leaves toss around,

An old lady chatting, mobile to her ear,

Chilly wind blows, sunshine spreads,

I want to experience them in silence.

The guys and things I ever saw and met,

Words are names and names dazzle us,

I recall some and some have I forgotten,

I love to experience each without a word.

Let me stop the clamour in my mind ,

And remove the burden from my head,

So much I spent my life in this chaos ,

Let me experience life in its pure spirit.

I want to see shapes and shadows real,

Play rays on my face, wind on the cheek,

Let the earth cajole me, sky embrace me,

Let stars stare me, let the clouds kiss me !

.

That was beautiful Harish. Words mean a lot in this world and can have positive or negative meaning, depending how we use them. They are powerful. I voted it up+++, shared it, pinned, and Tweeted it.

Good evening, Harishprasad; beautiful. Words are powerful and have the ability to harm and heal. This heals, and in our world today, we all need healing. ~Marilyn

Hi Peachy ! I'm glad that you came by and read this poem. I love words but sometime words -the prejudiced ones ,hinder the whole view before us. So, instead of dwelling on words, we must look with eyes dipped in love. Love opens a wonderful vista before us. Thank you very much for appreciating this poem.

'Words' are so helpful and such an important tool to express ourselves. And blessed are those who can use them effectively to communicate their feelings--you being one of them.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful and expressive poem. Voted up!

Well said. Words play so important a role in our life. Sometime words feel like petals and at other time they pierce like darts. When we say 'rose', what a beautiful and pulsating feeling, laced with imaginative fragrance, vibrates our mind ! We can't imagine a life without words !

Our mind is greatly influenced by the effect of words. travmaj, thanks for appreciating this poem and presenting such insightful comments.

Words - how much they can mean in all our lives. Every minute of every day words can affect us. You covered a great deal in your impressive poem and gave me much to ponder. Thank you

Words are pleasing, sad, plain, ornamental, provoking, exciting, uplifting, demoralizing, blissful, hurting, comforting, elusive, straightforward, frank, dubious and so on. Words are like people and act like them. It is really wonderful to interact with words like we do with people.

Devika, I'm so pleased that you liked this poem and presented such generous and lovely comments. Thanks a lot.

John, you are such a great juggler of words ! I admire how you create wonder with words. Words create various effects as and how we use them. Though I imagined how we would feel without words, I still had to use words to imply that. I'm glad that you liked this poem and offered such elaborate and generous comments. Thank you very much.

We all have the same words to work with (within our different languages) but it's the ones we choose and how we weave them that makes each piece of writing different Harish. You have done remarkably well with the words you used in this poem. Well done.

What you say is true. Smilealot, all creative arts are efforts of wresting the maximum out of the real experience, but the eternity like a beautiful damsel eludes us eternally.

In fact, all good things are the result of spread of words. Ironically, all the chaos and turmoil in the present times is also because of misunderstanding of words. Thanks a lot for reading and commenting on this hub.

Brother Manatita, what I can say in response to your beautiful comments is --may the Almighty bring peace to the world by words and put all those on right track who are distracted by words. The potency of word is beyond doubt. Thank you, brother for putting up beautiful words.

Yes, Ruby words can have such a profound effect on our psyche either of both ways. Still I think words are like a makeup to the real experience we go through. Thanks for appreciating the poem and presenting such nice comments.

Sometimes words seem to be beyond reach when we try to communicate experience, they only serve to give perspective but can't give us experience. Words, nonetheless, are a beautiful thing...well written:-))
