A Poem's Abode

Updated on June 15, 2017
Source

I befriended a poem,

It is the spell of an eye,

That wins and spins hearts,

Caresses the broken souls,

And penetrates deep within,

Moves with the fleeting time,

Wishes to catch all moments,

Dares and deceives the death,

With a razor look and sight.

I heard a poem all clear

It is a sound perennial,

A flapping bird,a buzzing bee,

Vibrates blood in the furrows,

Shoves tears into the trenches,

Jolts dreams in the sleep,

Drinks all the potion of life ,

And digs into the universe,

Epiphany of doom and bliss.

Poetry Omnipresent

I traced out a poem,

It is wind in the space,

That blows placid and cool,

In our hearts and minds,

Stirs our souls with love,

Enchants and cajoles,

Shakes up our existence,

And dances furious,

With rage and tumult.

I acquainted with a poem,

It is depth of a glance,

That can soak the world,

Weave threads of breath,

Swing and charm the life,

Hoodwink the dark night,

Stretch and touch the moon,

Sluice and tame the ocean,

With all love and passion.

Epiphany of doom and bliss - Wow, I like that line. Poems come from the soul, and if we can find that we can find the poetry. Great poem!

Kevin, how I feel delighted every time when I see your presence on any of my hubs ! You have felt the essence of the poem so beautifully and that is what I wanted to convey. As for word ' razor ',your query is interesting. Actually I wanted to write 'sharp' but it is a common rut and does not evoke the required effect, so I rather chose the object itself instead of it's nature. Thanks for your visit, appreciation of poem and your kind comments.

I found it interesting Harishprasad. It shows how poetry is written from within and always soothes the soul (or wild beast). I voted it up, shared and pinned it.

      Kevin

By the way, did I just learn a new word or did you mean 'razor'?
