"Let's Sleep Together" (Dancing For Death)
There's a man there
in the corner.
I saw him watching me
and for some strange reason
I felt the need
to give him a show.
I dropped my lace gown,
dropped it to the floor
as I slowly lowered each silky strap
from off my shoulder.
I stood there
in nothing but my underwear,
sexy, black, almost bare.
I turned around to face him,
his eyes a cold stare,
brought shivers down my back.
My skin like ice
melting beneath a fire.
He did not move.
He did not blink.
But as much as he said
that he did not want me,
his eyes made him a liar.
I danced for him
slowly
to the rhythm of his breath.
If only I had known
I was dancing for Death.
