Father's letter to a busy son
I love you and will always love you
My Dear Son,
How have you been? I am using the apple laptop that you presented me last summer. I am sorry for using it so late. You see, I don’t have a gmail id, for that matter I have no email account set up till now. You have been busy so I did not want to disturb you with such trivial matters. So I had to wait for someone to create an id for me. Luckily I was able to get it done. But unfortunately I forgot how to use the wonderful laptop you had presented me.
No, it is not your fault at all. You did take out time to call me on a Sunday and spent the whole afternoon trying to teach me. But you see I am an old school and it takes me time to learn new technology. I am not a fast learner anymore. So I forgot whatever you told me. Although I am a father of a CTO, still I am technologically challenged. But the warden of the home took out time and taught me how to use the wonderful laptop you presented me. I have also asked him to help me use the iPhone that you gave me this winter. I have heard that there is an application called What'sapp through which we can be connected forever. By the way what is your phone number? My number is 9794522689.
I met my school friend yesterday in the market and he was asking about you and I told him that you have become the number two guy of your company and that you bought all these costly gadgets for me to be connected with you any time I want. I am very happy here in the home and have made a few friends. We go for a walk every evening and spend time in the park near by. I was having problems with my sleep so I went for a check up and the doctor said that at this age it is normal to not get sleep.
I hope you are taking proper care of yourself. I will end my letter here as I know that it is hard for you to take out time from your busy schedule. Please reply back to my mail whenever you can. I will wait for your reply and yes if possible please do visit me next time you come to India. I know your last visit to India was a mix of holiday for your children and your official visit so it was very tight for you. Take care of your health.
Your loving dad
