Lichtenstein
I've never been to Lichtenstein it just occurred to me
That beloved Lichtenstien is someplace I'll never see
I've never been to Canada though I used to live near it
I've never been to Mexico although I didn't fear it
The Amazon, that's in Brazil, is somewhere that I'd go
The Andes down in Chile is someplace I'd like to know
But Lichtenstein, yes Lichtenstein, these things you do not have
No nothing like these things with which my wandering spirit to salve
I've never been to Scotland that land my people came from
Nor have I been to England although there they'd think I'm dumb
I've never eaten pizza in beautiful Italy
Nor have I been to Belgium to see the scenery
The Alps of Switzerland I've not traversed nor seen in person
I lived in New York City though back when it was worsen
Erin go bragh I'd love to say while on the Emerald Isle
And listening to Welshmen sing would surely bring a smile
But Lichtenstein, sweet Lichtenstein although I can't explain
Pulls at my heartstrings pluckily and pushes on my brain
France doesn't attract me like that except perhaps the Louvre
And Germany does not make me wish to up and movre
The Czech Republic is pretty when seen on tv
Neighbor Slovakia is also one I'll not be
I might want to go to Poland and eat a sausage there
Or perhaps go to Finland where I can breath frosty air!
But Lichtenstein, yes Lichtenstein I feel calling me
Don't know a thing about you but I'd love to go and see
