Our Life is Like a Butterfly
A winged creature of grace and beauty is she,
such a beautiful butterfly.
From flower to flower, as she works so hard,
Her, there in the yard, I spy,
I cannot help in thinking, of all consideration,
How alike we each must be.
How our daily lives are so much the same,
This of every day that we see.
How fragile is this world, all the creatures in it,
The flora and fauna to be.
We each must make our every day to count,
How blessed if we fly so free.
Nectar that the working winged one collects,
Spread one flower to the next.
As each of us, all gives life our own very best,
We often get what each expects.
