Lonely Window
Lonely stays the window, with no one who's near.
First snow is falling, the winter night is here.
The warmth of fireplace from inside the house
Keeps the sweaters warm and the woolen blouse.
Christmas lights shine so bright, everyone will see
Presents all around our good old Christmas tree.
Nature's art's glowing white with no one around.
Now get up sleepy heads, there's much to be found.
Lonely stays the window, with no one who's near.
It was much better this time, but only last year.
Rusty handle's frozen, there's no birds in sight.
Stale bread in the cold can not survive this night.
As the night gets silent, snow is falling thick.
You're still sitting there, but let's just try to think.
When the morning comes and children are awake,
They will look trough you, find all the white snowflakes.
Smile in them grows big, might even start to cry.
There's nothing more lovely than the snowing sky.
