Unknown "Look" of Love Rap
The way she gave me a look, or maybe a glance
captivated my soul and had me in a trance
I tried to sneak a peek back, if she'd give me a chance,
but my spying eyes open had her looking askance
did I mistake her gaze
did I not see it right
I wish I had the third eye
to read minds with the sight
A glimpse into her mind
might not have me staring in fright
so I keep gawking at her frame
and hope my ogling is all right
Have you ever mistook a look a person gave you as a sign of interest?
This poem, in a rap style format, describes a young man who cannot understand the look on a particular woman's face. At one point her look captivates his soul and he is in love, but that look quickly changes to one of suspicion about why she is looking back. However, like most young men our hopes of romance outweigh our ability to read minds.
