Looking Deeper Into Our Own Lives

Updated on June 8, 2011

Uncovering layer after layer

We are so magnificient

What we see is only a fraction of who we are

Look at our own hands and see how they feel

We have had them all our lives and use them often but maybe never took a close look

We have so many lines and creases that we never notice

Even cuts on our own skin we were not aware of

Now we can expand that thought through our whole body

What have we missed just because we were too busy trying to do something else

When you are bored next time and have nothing to do

Look at yourself to find new and amazing things

Think of ways that we have always done things

Change it up and do something different

There are so many things we can do that make our life more interesting

Just using what we have and nothing more

Experience a new experieince one that makes us who we are

Now think of the people that we know in our lives

Have they always been there and for how long ?

Who do we know that we haven't talked to for a long time that was a good friend

Out of sight out of mind

We have met thousand upon thousands of people in our lives

We have touched many without ever noticing

It is time to appreciate who we are so we can appreciate others for who they are

Next time we want to judge someone or criticize

Look at our own faults and see how we can become better

Try to find a kind word and something good about them instead

Life is for the living

Let's enjoy all the gifts we have been given

There is no one that will ever make us more satisfied than the one sitting before us right now

When we please ourselves with the simple things in life

All life opens up and soon everything else seems more wonderful

Family and friends are special

Strangers become friends

That is a cycle that will never end

Learn to make the most of what we have and use it to its true potential

That is where the true beauty is
