Love Before First Sight

Updated on April 14, 2013
Source

I feel your little kicks, footprints are imbedded within

Although we haven’t officially met, I feel as though we have become friends

When I place my hand over my round tummy

You make a movement as if to say “hello mommy”

You haven’t let anyone else know this feeling

It is something we share alone, and that gives it meaning

We wait impatiently for your arrival

We are all here to help you with survival

There is so much love waiting for you on the other side

No need to worry, we’ll make you smile even when you think you’re going to cry

It’s such a wonderful feeling knowing you are mine

Can’t wait to meet you, your father, sister, and I...

We love you oh so much

Looking forward to holding you, just to feel that loving touch

To witness the first time you open your eyes to the giant new world

I’ll be there to tell you, I Love you BabyGirl…

Ohhh - my friend...such a beautiful and loving poem penned through the love of a Mommy. This is magnificent and what a glorious gift to provide this fortunate child who is coming into a world of love.

      I am voting up.
