Love Diamonds

Updated on July 27, 2012

I am an artist, designer, photographer and writer. See more of my work on cmariearts.

My love

I saw you standing there

Your eyes locked with mine

I knew right then

That we were one

And during that night

In the dim twilight

You drew me close to you

And I already knew

My heart belonged to you

Every day that passed me by

I waited patiently for you

To come to me

So we can be free together

I waited for you to take me away

From all things that seemed

So dreary and dark

Some nights seemed endless

As I waited

You finally came and

Swept me away

And we danced in the dark

Like two lovers unrestrained

Diamonds sparkling at midnight

      C21,

Isnt it amazing the exact same stuff- more or less that makes charcoal, is the exact same stuff that makes diamonds...straight up Carbon...This still does not take the "shine" off your lovely work.

You're back, Caroline, with more beautiful poetry. This one is special, as it sounds like a "best" love.
