Love Turned Dark

Updated on September 8, 2015

She was shattered beyond repair

feeling so lost and alone.

The last year had brought many changes.

Love had came and love had gone.

The pain and the agony crept in like a fog.

It slithered across the ground.

Lies so many lies flowed fluently from his lips.

They destroyed and devastated her beyond belief.

Broken, tattered and torn, she walked away.

She built a wall around her shattered bleeding heart.

Her ability to love unconditionally protected for all eternity.

She hid it in the shadows, tucked away never to be unveiled again.

It became blackened and hard from her tragedy.

The shining light which once gleamed in her eyes had now became very dark.

What a sad hub proudmamma. I could feel the emotion in this dark poem.

Oh how I know this feeling. It is usually the people who love unconditionally that get hurt the most. I never understood that, unless it's God's way of showing us how strong we are and testing us to see if we are strong enough time after time to still be so loving. Very powerful piece here. The picture expresses how desperate we can feel from such pain.
