Love Without Guise

Updated on February 25, 2011

The clock face moves, I see it's quarter to you

Across the time zone, day to night is askew

Same moon orbits the earth counterclockwise

Earth tilts and it moves us to love without guise

-----------------------------------------------------------

Distance the miles that cannot subdue

Union of the lovers that cement this coup

The sky lights blaze hot with no disguise

Earth tilts and it moves us to love without guise

-----------------------------------------------------------

Words on a wing through clouds pass through

Teleport on a tightrope in skies of dark blue

Feel the dance of passion in loves wild eyes

Earth tilts and it moves us to love without guise

-----------------------------------------------------------

Kiss my lips that savor the strong dark brew

Stars allign the configuration we construe

I'll meet you halfway for love's grand prize

Earth tilts and it moves us to love without guise

-----------------------------------------------------------

Dreams and moments and wishes come true

Constellation of stars announce the debut

Ecstatic in the face of destinies surprise

Earth tilts and it moves us to love without guise

-----------------------------------------------------------

Winsome, I'm so happy to see you here! I understand Keats statement...and agree. Unforgettable and without regrets...ever. Some things don't have to last 50-years as the moments last forever.

Thank you for your thought provoking comment. It is beautiful.

Hi Amy, the distance and time of love--lovely and impassioned. It reminds me of something Keats said in a letter to his Fanny: "I almost wish we were butterflies and liv'd but three summer days - three such days with you I could fill with more delight than fifty common years could ever contain."

      Talk about a rendezvous! =:)

Neil, be careful. I could get use to all this attention. I love that you came back. That is the greatest compliment I've ever received and I thank you, my beautiful friend.

      Had to have a re-read -

Distance the miles that cannot subdue

Union of the lovers that cement this coup

So true - limitless, timeless and no boundaries.

A Love that JUST IS .... overcomes time and space.

      Beautiful

Thank you, master of words of imagrey, I am at a loss for words because you put me in a category such as "like Rodan sculpts". Who would not be rendered speechless at that? I hope someday to come up the ladder to half that status. There is no one that would ever want the great epigramman to ever "shut up". Your encouragement and support inspires everyone you reach to aspire to your poetic words. Thank you, Colin.

..well you craft words like Rodin sculpts ....and another talent you've always had Miss Amy are your in-depth and perceptive comments to others - as you always take the time to justify and explain yourself properly in any commentary you make to others - except (ironically) to me when you just left me a one word comment - lol - speechless! (well okay - hawt - that makes two) ..... either I'm that good or when it comes to my writing - words just escape you - lol lol lol - like they always escape me - UNLESS I'm here at Miss Amy's hubs and then they come spilling over like some kind of verbal waterfall - and you just can't shut me up!!!! Again, you are a master at poetic wordplay and it's good to see you back at it!!!!

Awwwwww, Wayne, I hear ya...I think it's rare, unfortunately...maybe not though, as it seems that it is well understood and for that there must be the experience. Thank you for stopping by and your comment, which is thought provoking in itself.

Beautiful, of course, but things this good call for the reader to have some refinement of which I have very little. I'm still impressed with the great ones like "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. old humpty had a great fall"

You know I love your work kid, and I'm glad you're back in the saddle.

And I, too, enjoy you, Neil. There is nothing less in a connection through words. In many ways, I believe it is more. When it is the sum, each word is important, relevant and powerful. Through the wires, and photos, finding a connection is highly possible and immensely intense, profound and life altering. And, yes, one never knows where life will lead us...and that is so exciting! Your ability to connect is no surprise to me. I know you are an adventurer, a free spirit with an optomistic outlook and a compassionate soul. The pleasure is all mine, Neil. I'm glad our paths have crossed.

      Love it! The stanza

Words on a wing through clouds pass through

Teleport on a tightrope in skies of dark blue

Feel the dance of passion in loves wild eyes

Express's tons. A Love that "Just Is"

If our roots were closer together geographically, our branches may entwine and then you just might come live in my place... even for a while.

I enjoy YOU through your writing! Thanks for the Dance!

Dear BobbiRant, Yes, in this whole big, busy world, filled with injustices, pain and man's inhumanity, the one universal redemption is love. It sustains, raises us up, gives us hope, makes us kinder and better to one another...the ultimate "pay it forward".

I can feel the love in this one. As love ought to be, without guise and without games, just plain, pure love unfettered. Great poem about love, a subject we all love.

Dear Mohan, Your powerful words are so uplifting and a source of great inspiration. The first two lines of your poetry here are to die for...I love the imagrey in "Clip-clapping on cobbles like horses hooves". It conjures not only the picture, but sound. The line is one so perfect, it deserves a piece constructed around it. And, "All the worlds a palette to your painters view" makes me sigh. I hope to see these lines in a poem by you. I'll be watching for that someday. You grace me with your artistry and I thank you.

Amy, this is so beautifully written, so gorgeously constructed - Your powerful words are beyond parallel. Awesome, beautiful and I think we need some new buttons, folks!

I couldn't help commenting in verse ( forgive me!):

'Words sing and dance like raindrops on roofs

Clip-clapping on cobbles like horses hooves

The Dictionary drips with passion in your eyes

As I read your beautiful ‘Love without guise’

Each line evokes such emotions new

All the worlds a palette to your painters view

Such powerful lines that take me to new highs

As I read your beautiful ‘love without guise’'

Fay, you always touch my heart. And, everytime I am lucky enough to see Genna visit, too, I always think of you! I don't know why make a "flash" of connection. Maybe it's simply the fact of two beautiful ladies, both excellent writers and very supportive of my efforts showing up on my page simultaneously. It feels like a party!

I had a great time conjuring, constructing, configuring, and convoluting ideas into words to paint the picture. Thank you for allowing me to analyze, revisit and describe the pleasure of creating this piece, Fay.

Dear No_Clue, thank you so much for your words. I had fun creating this one. In the proper frame of mind, I reckon. Each descriptive word you sent me is what I was thinking about, after the subject of course, in achieving creative expression, a uniqueness in imagrey for this piece. Someday, I want to compose a piece...

I'll leave the rest to the imagination. Is it that way for you, No_Clue? As a poet, do you write the piece or, as I've heard others say, it writes itself? I have great fun after the inspiration for a piece, in the creative writing of it, but I do work it. Again, thank you.
