the poetry of love
the poetry of love | Source

words flutter in breezes

lofting themselves

on currents of desire

as lovers parade their thoughts

among the leaves

always leaving the sigh

for tomorrow--

De sites ravissants
La campagne se couvre,
Et notre oeil y découvre
Des fleurs, des bois, des champs,
Et d’épaisses feuillées,
Où de tendres amants
Promènent leurs pensées.

With places of delight
The countryside is filled,
And our eyes see there
Flowers, woods, fields,
And dense foliage,
Where tender lovers
Parade their thoughts.

murmuration sweet

within the language of love

as dryads and satyrs

form roots intertwined

whispering.

Voted up and awesome. Every language has its own beauty. Like my husband always says whenever he decides to quote in Russian - I know you don't understand but in Latvian or even English it just wouldn't sound the same.C'est la vie!

Love the French, even though I only understand a few words. It's so romantic. Isn't it true that the heart "tames" or perhaps overrules??? the head! Lovely poem!

Ah, the romantic language. I am taking a course now, just for fun. Learning phrases. I am sure impressing my friends, but I cannot write a thing.

Glad you interpreted it. Great. Ann

C'est magnifique!!! Since I had four years of french in high school (many, many years ago, as I thought I would be traveling the world - Ha),so I thought I would respond in french, although I could interpret some of the spanish. Je t'aime bien, Faith Reaper
