MEAL OF HARD WORK
Meal of Hard Work
MEAL OF HARD WORK
I have swamped the deepest ocean
Trapped in a stormy sea
Yet I made a wave
I spoke to men of flame
Yet I live to write the story
Of the flame of men I spoke to
You too can make a wave
All you need is some push
Don’t stop! You are almost there
I pushed for years myself
My song may sound so sweet
But my sweat is what I eat
A time in life I could not afford a good meal
But still I didn’t give up the target
I fast in the day most time
At afternoon I ate the little I have
And ate my dinner in my dreams
But still didn’t give up the race I ran
I bathed in the water of sorrow
I wasn’t ready to borrow
When it was time to pay my rent
My landlord sent me packing
With choice of no where to say
I had no choice to choose
But did what I had to do
I had to rent a flat under the bridge
To a tout I paid my rent
See how my pains became my gains
Now I eat like a king all days
I bought a mansion that sail on sea
Without being trapped again
The bed of the deepest ocean I saw
From my sailing mansion while in it
You too can make it there
Just be a friend to courage
A brother to focus himself
Eat of the meal of hard work
And plan to drink the wine of your sweat
And you too will make a wave.
